The purpose of this blog is to inform the reader of food related contaminations such as E:coli,  Salmonella and Listeria.

Food  Safety issues are very much on the increase, and have become headline news  in recent years.

The tragic spinach E:coli outbreak  in October 2006 resulted in  deaths, financial loss, lack of consumer confidence, and many unanswered questions.  While the resultant death toll from this outbreak was thankfully low, it could have been much worse.

What we intend to report on are not only the outbreaks themselves, but also to inform the public as to what steps the Food Industry are taking to protect the safety of our food.

We also intend to monitor what steps the Federal Government are taking,  and how the tax payer dollars are being spent.
