The concept of this blog is to inform the reader of issues surrounding the subject of food safety.

The blog will report on any issues surrounding bacterial infestation on food products. It will also report on Government decisions and actions  that could impact the food industry and subsequently, us , the consumers.

Bacteria such as e;coli, salmonella and listeria infections or infestations have been responsible for deaths, serious injury, food recalls, legal actions , bankruptcy, lack of consumer confidence.

Food products such as hamburgers are extremely susceptible to infection. E:coli infections are common.  Hundreds of thousands of pounds of hamburger meat are recalled each year in the US.

The costs associated with Bacterial infections in food are incalculable In family grief at the loss of a loved one.  In legal action which can bankrupt a Company, therefore job losses result.
