US-The Morning Call-Wegmans recalls sauce for undeclared wheat

Wegmans Food Markets Inc. is recalling its 8 oz. Wegmans Bouillabaisse Seafood Sauce with a use by date of Dec. 24, the company announced this morning.

The product is being recalled because it contains wheat that is not declared on the label. The recalled product poses a threat only to people who are allergic to wheat or sensitive to gluten, who could have a serious reaction to the sauce.

It is the food-seller’s second recent recall. The company on the weekend announced a recall of coffee cake that contained pecans that were not on the label, which posed a risk to people with allergies….more….
